Chemo-preventive properties of constituents of cardamom against carcinogenesis

Oxidative stress is caused by the production of more reactive oxygen species (ROS) than the cell’s own antioxidants.  Antioxidants in the cells are the body’s defences against Oxidising compounds and if there is an imbalance it can lead to carcinogenesis.

We have shown in previous articles that many herbs and key ingredients of InnOrbit drinks are rich in phytochemicals.  One such phytochemical, cardamom (and Ingredient of the InnOrbit drink Young&Fun), has recently been reviewed by Acharya et al.   They suggest that Cardamon may have exceptional anti-cancer effects against hormone responsive cancers like breast, prostate and ovarian cancers.
