Obesity & Green Tea
Previously, beneficial effects of Green Tea polyphenols against obesity have been reported, however, the mechanism of this protection is not clear.
The objective of this study by Lu et al, was to identify Green Tea-targeted genes in obesity using a high-fat-diet-induced obese animal model. Together, this research showed the beneficial effects of Green Tea Polyphenols on body weight via regulating obesity-related genes, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidant capacity, and estrogen-related actions in high-fat-induced obese animals.
Green tea is a key ingredient in the natural weight management health drink SLIM&FIT.
