Amla (Emblica officinalis): Potential Anti-Cancer (Mammary) Health Benefits

Kalpaamruthaa (KA) is a traditional medicine used in India which contains Amla (Emblica officinalis).
Sathish et al, studied the effect of KA on tumor invasion and angiogenesis in animal model cell systems which had had mammary carcinoma induced in them.
The decreased levels of angiogenic factors (e.g. proteases, cyclooxygenase-2, & vascular endothelial growth factor) in KA treatments may be due to the ameliorative effect of phenolic compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, and other compounds present in components like Amla (Emblica officinalis).
Amla is a key ingredient in the CALM&RELAX and SLIM&FIT recipes.
