Malala’s Hope is Our Hope Too

October 17, 2012

Malala’s hope is our hope because we all should be championing an education for all Our daughters. Malala brought our attention (via her blog on the BBC) to how, in Pakistan as in other countries, it can be difficult for girl’s to receive an education. Her words are a key testament of the consequences of radicalism and other political forces beyond her control.

We applaud how Malala has dedicated her childhood to championing education for girls like herself in Pakistan. As she lies in a hospital bed, a tragic victim of Taliban gunmen, let’s help make her dream come true.

“Our voices must amplify Malala’s daring advocacy. We must support the millions of girls like Malala who both want and have the right to an education. We can start by getting our priorities straight. And we must take action or we will miss an opportunity to stand in solidarity with Malala at this key time in her struggle and that of young people everywhere.” Ed Gragert, Huffington Post

At InnOrbit we are also dedicating our efforts to educate girls in India and we support wholeheartedly the efforts of organisations around the world like the UN, Avaaz and individuals like Malala to make this a more just and equitable place for all – particulary when it comes to educating our children.
