Potential Effects of Ginger Supplementation on Corectal Cancer
January 14, 2013
Citronberg et al studied the effects of Ginger on apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation in the normal-appearing colonic mucosa using a randomized approach.
They measured expression and distributions of various biomarkers related to cancerous cells relative to a placebo.
Their conclusion was that the results from these pilot study suggest that ginger may reduce proliferation in the normal-appearing colorectal epithelium and increase apoptosis (automatic cell death – useful in cancerous cells).
Ginger is a key ingredient used in the products made by The Wise Herb Company.
