A cold drink for a hot ride!

August 30, 2011

I Made a cold drink at the weekend that seemed to be ideal for two long rides in the heat.  Here’s the recipe:

– Add 700 mls of hot water (90ºC) to two triangles of InnOrbit Up&Go. Steep for about 5 minutes then remove the triangles.
– Allow to cool to room temperature then add about 20-30 ml of fruit juice. In this case it was a Forest Fruits (with fresh red fruits like Strawberry and blackcurrants and also contained apple juice etc.).
– Cool in fridge then use as energy/sports drink (in my case a bidon for the cycle).

Seemed to provide a refreshing drink & good energy levels for the 110 km ride and excellent recovery too. Ready for a ride again already.

Enjoy your fitness and InnOrbit drinks!
