Ginger extract exhibits anti-diabetic potential

Zingiber officinale (Ginger) extract exhibits antidiabetic potential via modulating glucose uptake, protein glycation and inhibiting adipocyte differentiation. An in vitro study was carried out by Rani, et al.

Extract of ginger (EAG) was evaluated for its:

  • Antioxidant activity
  • Antidiabetic activity
  • Efficacy of extract to enhance glucose uptake

The anti-diabetic effect of ginger was experimentally proved in the study and has concluded that the activity is initiated by antioxidant, antiglycation and potential to express or transport Glut4 receptors from internal vesicles.

Extracto de jengibre (EAG) fue evaluado por su:

  • Actividad antioxidante
  • Actividad antidiabética
  • La eficacia del extracto para mejorar la captación de glucosa

El efecto antidiabético de jengibre se ha demostrado experimentalmente en el estudio y se ha concluido que la actividad se inicia con antioxidantes, antiglicación y el potencial de expresar o transportar GLUT4 desde las vesículas internas.
