Sweet Cinnamon Science

March 3, 2012

Cinnamon has its uses in the kitchen and Ayurvedic doctors also knew about its value for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.   Here we summarise the recent scientific findings on its health functionality.

Eugenol and cinnamic acid were investigated by Jung et al, for their antioxidant activity in vitro and their protective effect against gastric damage in vivo through stimulation of mucus secretion. Results suggest that these consitutents of cinnamon are useful neutraceuticals for gastritis.

Cinnamon is a key ingredient for the functional infusions UP&GO and SLIM&FIT.
