Synergistic Effects of Green Tea and Quercitin in Prostate Cancer Therapy
Quercetin is a bio-active component found in many natural herbs and plants like Neem (Azadirachta indica).
On this website we have seen several studies that propose that combinations of herbs are more effective in chronic disease therapies than isolated doses.
A study by Wang et al, has demonstrated a similar synergistic effect between Quercetin and Green Tea catechins (EGCG).
Quercetin combined with Green Tea EGCG in vitro demonstrated enhanced inhibition of cell proliferation.
The investigators state that: “Quercetin of Neem (Azadirachta indica) and EGCG in combination synergistically inhibited cell proliferation, caused cell cycle arrest, and induced apoptosis in Prostate Cancer cells“.
This gives some support to the Holistic approach needed (and supported by InnOrbit products) and that combinations of herbs may be more effective than ‘Single’ isolated doses of plants and/or their components.
