April 28, 2012

SLIM&FIT Granizado

This is a healthy recipe for a refreshing drink that will help you maintain your weight and keep you refreshed as the days get longer and warmer.  This is a type of drink that is popular in Spain and is a kind of crunchy more liquid sorbet.  With the lemon and the SLIM&FIT ingredients we feel that this will help keep you cool and maintain a slender figure!  Also worth trying with YOUNG&FUN triangles too as this has very cooling characteristics for those hotter afternoons.

Enjoy!

Time to needed to prepare: About 3 hours

Ingredients

Water (about 700 ml)

2 tablespoons minced crystallized ginger

3 SLIM&FIT pyramids

80 g honey, or  to taste

1 lemon (Juice)

Method:

1. Place the ginger in a saucepan with the water and bring to simmer , add the tea, then put the lid on and turn off the heat. Keep it sitting for about 10 minutes, then strain. Throw away the solids.  Stir in the honey and lemon juice to taste.

2.  Pour the mixture into a shallow glass or ceramic pan and freeze.   Stir to break up the ice every 30 minutes or so, until the mixture is slushy and crunchy with crystals.  This could take about  3 hours.

If the mixture becomes too hard, break up with a food processor.  You can also put it in the fridge and stir from time to time until it reaches the desired texture.  Serve in small bowls or glasses with a sprig of mint.

Serves: 4

SLIM&FIT ingredients:  Green Tea, Garcinia, Caralluma, Ginger, Cinammon, Lemon Grass, Indian Gooseberry, Wild Mint, Nutgrass, Fennel, Liquorice, Hibiscus Petals

Try YOUNG&FUN to cool down on those warmer afternoons or after training!
