Green Tea Catechins & Brain Health

June 16, 2012

Arkhan continually amazed us at his agility – not just on his legs but his physical strength too. When we got back to the labs we perfected his mix and added Green Tea.

Brain cell growth and renewal is a lifelong feature of brain plasticity that appears to be critically involved in adult brain function and neurological disease. Recent studies suggest that (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), from Green Tea could be used for the prevention and treatment of various neurodegenerative diseases. In a recent study by Wang et al they showed how EGCG promotes adult neurogenesis (Brain cell regeneration) and is beneficial to learning and memory.

The results provide strong evidence that EGCG enhances brain neurogenesis and can help with the maintenance of brain health via brain cell growth and renewal.

Using Arkhan’s mix and other key herbs we developed YOUNG&FUN with the help of Green Tea!
