Antidiabetic effects of aqueous Cinnamon Extract

Another feather in the cap for Cinnamon!

Cinnamon’s therapeutic potential for improving disorders such as type 2 diabetes has been well researched and reported. In a study by Cheng et al, they demonstrated that cinnamon extracts were effective in acutely lowering fasting blood glucose levels in diet induced obese animal model systems

 

It was shown that Cinnamon Extract could decrease the gene expression of two regulators of hepatic gluconeogenesis. The hypoglycemic and insulin-like effects of Cinnamon may help to improve type 2 diabetes conditions.
