Designed with the help of Ayurvedic doctors and loaded with Antioxidants and natural anti-inflammatories, YOUNG&FUN is now becoming recognised as a way to help long term health. Cinnamon, Green Tea, Ginger, Liquorice, Mint and Pennywort, sourced from northern India in the Himalayas, have all been implicated in healthy ageing and support the ancient science of Ayurveda.
Focus on Ginger
Recently, the potential anti-inflammatory effects of the ginger constituent 12-dehydrogingerdione were investigated by Han et al. Various biomarkers of oxidation e.g. Prostaglandin E and the inflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α were measured. Production of nitric oxide (NO) was also measured in vitro
The results suggest that the constituent gingerdione from ginger, is a potent inhibitor of proinflammatory mediator production in cells.
Focus on Green Tea
The aim of a study by Zhang et al was to investigate the β-amyloid peptide (Aβ)-induced neurotoxicity and neuroprotective effect of (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a polyphenol found in Green Tea in a model system.
In conclusion, the results obtained from these analyses of cells provided important insight into the biochemical mechanisms underlying Aβ-induced neurotoxicity and neuro protective effects of EGCG. This is the first report of the lipidomic study on the neuroprotective effect of EGCG.
Ageing healthier will help you to lead full and productive lives and be a resource for your families and communities now and in the future – YOUNG&FUN could help.
