Green tea catechins prevent obesity
Studies suggest that Green Tea is associated with a lower risk of obesity and related diseases. The mechanisms of these effects was investigated by Yan et al for its anti-obesity mechanisms via catechins. The mechanism occurs via the modulation of peroxisome proliferator activated-receptor (PPAR) pathways in high-fat diet-induced obesity in animal model systems.
The results of this study suggest that Green Tea catechins exert their anti-obesity mechanism in part by modulating PPAR signaling pathways.
Green Tea, amongst other herbal ingredients, is a key ingredient in the Green Tea based Herbal infusion SLIM&FIT.
