Green tea extract decreases lipid digestion and absorption from a test meal
Green tea is many beneficial effects on human health and which have been reported often on this website.
Green Tea has shown to have some inhibition effects on lipid hydrolysis. Walkowiak et al assessed the influence of Green Tea extract on lipid digestion and absorption.
Results of six tests with Green Tea Extract showed intresting results. Single dose of Green Tea extract taken with a test meal decreases lipid digestion and absorption in humans. The results suggest a role of green tea as an inhibitor of lipid hydrolysis.
